EPA - A Citizen's Guide To Radon

Radon Mitigation

Milwaukee Radon is certified by the National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP)

Why do you need radon mitigation?

Radon is a cancer-causing radio active gas. You cannot see, smell or taste radon but it may be a problem in your home. Radon gas is emitted from the rocks and soil of the earth, and enters homes and buildings from cracks and openings in the foundation. Radon gas in your home can present a significant health risk to your family. Radon is the leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers, and the second leading cause of lung cancer in America.

Radon testing is simple and inexpensive. Radon mitigation systems are also simple and highly effective when properly installed by a certified professional, like The Handyman Service LLC.

All homes and buildings contain some level of radon. The EPA recommends that you should mitigate the radon if it tests higher than 4pCi/L.
