A unique history for a unique Milwaukee city. The First Unitarian Society Meeting House, was designed and inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, himself! The suggestive of hands held together in prayer, is displayed in Shorewood Hills.

Then lets take Shorewood Hills' Blackhawk Country Club as another monument worthy of discussion. The facility has numerous preserved effigy mounds on beautiful golf grasses, which include quite a few linear mounds, and also animal mounds. All of the mounds are to have been constructed by a society called Mound Building people, sometime between 500 and 1500 AD.^[10]

Shorewood's Radiation Center, was a first and private medical facility treating patients with cancer. Betatron, was opened by a doctor by the name of Dr. O. Arthur Stiennon^[11] in the year 1957^[12] at Doctors' Park, located at 2716 Marshall Court. In the year1993, this facility was destroyed, bringing to be, a Ronald McDonald House which was erected and housing families on this site.^[13]
